The past 18 months since the R.O.C.K. Horseshoe Club was founded have been a wonderful experience, thanks to the 22 dedicated sponsors who have adopted the care and feeding of 17 horses, including Jane and Terry Swanson.

Dude joined the herd in October 2009.

As the sun set on the Merlin Hoppe Arena on April 9th, the lights went up on the 5th annual R.O.C.K. Barn Dance. Over 350 joined the R.O.C.K. staff and volunteers to celebrate Texas' iconic place in films.

The Horses for Heroes program holds a very special place in my heart. Designed for military service members wounded or injured in the line of duty, R.O.C.K. began offering weekly H4H sessions in May 2008. I found this life-changing program just 1 month later.

Did you know that nearly every aspect of the daily activities at R.O.C.K. is subject to national standards established by the NARHA Premier Accredited Center Program? On June 28th, 2 site inspectors from NARHA will visit R.O.C.K. to review to our compliance with each standard for equine-assisted activities and therapies.

The horse's movement in hippotherapy has many benefits, including improvement in riders' respiratory capacity. We are working hard to document that improvement.
